(KZN.RU, April 21). The results of the contest “The Best Employee in the Sphere of Municipal Management of Kazan” were summed up in the City Hall today on the All-Russian Day of Local Self-Government. Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committee, congratulated the winners and finalists of the competition on behalf of Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the capital of the RT.
The competition was established by the initiative of the Mayor of Kazan to familiarize citizens with the best representatives of the municipality, as well as to strengthen the image of city officials.
Addressing all those gathered in the City Hall, D. Kalinkin noted that there are many problems in the life of the city municipality. But what has already been done makes it possible to talk about its work with pride, because Kazan is one of the most beautiful and comfortable cities in Russia. “Every year, we achieve consistently high indicators in the program of capital repairs of housing stock and social facilities. We are building new houses, kindergartens, renovating medical facilities, improving transport infrastructure, landscaping parks, and attracting thousands of students and millions of tourists”, he said.
The head of the Executive Committee also added that the school of local self-government of Kazan is a powerful school because active and creative people work there. They are ready to undertake any promising beginnings and are able to motivate residents to participate in the implementation of urban projects. “I am very pleased to work with you. The higher the achievements, the greater the expectations of our citizens and their demands for us. And we must meet these expectations. I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the Day of Local Self-Government. I wish you productive work, successes in all your affairs and endeavors”, concluded D. Kalinkin.
This year the contest was held in 17 nominations. “Legal support”, “Protection of financial interests and economic policy”, “For development of social sphere”, “Discovery of the year”, “Work with documents”, “Reliable assistant”, “Interaction with the media”, and “Innovative ideas” are among them. Ilsur Hadiullin, the head of Education Department of the Executive Committee, became the winner in the nomination “The Best Manager of the Year”, and Ramil Zagriev, the deputy head of the Department for Urban Development Permits, was recognized as the best in the nomination “Urban Planning, Architecture, and Land Use”.
Shamil Valeev, the head of the department for physical culture and sports of the Aviastroitelniy and Novo-Savinovsky districts’ administrations, became the “Sportsman of the Year”, Asiya Fadeeva, the leading specialist in the guardianship and trusteeship department of the Vakhitovskiy and Privolzhsky districts’ administration, was awarded the title “Good Heart”. Alsu Kalimullina, deputy head of the organizational management department of the Kazan Executive Committee, won the nomination “Hospitality”. The main prize for “Information Development” went to Regina Sadykova, the head of the department of Information Technologies and Communications. Alexander Batmanov, the head of the department for external improvement and construction of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’ administration, became the winner in the nomination “Municipal economy and life support system”. Ruzaliya Novikova, the head of the guardianship and trusteeship department of the Vakhitovskiy and Privolzhsky districts’ administration, won the nomination “Work with the population”. Nail Minvaleev, the first deputy head of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’ administration, was awarded an honorary nomination “Devotion and Reliability”.
Rustam Nigmatullin, the first deputy head of Kazan, Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, and Evgeny Varakin, the head of the Executive Committee's Administration, also took part in the awarding ceremony.
The Day of Local Self-Dovernment is a professional holiday of municipal employees, which is celebrated in Russia on April 21. This date was established on the basis of the decree of Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, in 2012 as a tribute to people who work in local government and daily solve a lot of current, everyday problems of Russians’ life.
